Cleverrish Field App privacy policy
Updated: 30 September 2026
This policy describes the Android Cleverrish Field App, provided by Cleverrish Globals. For privacy questions or requests, contact sammicdeb@gmail.com.
Information used by the app
The app processes location coordinates, GPS accuracy, time and available altitude or speed readings for mapping, point collection, navigation and track recording. Projects can contain names, notes, photos, points, lines, polygons, tracks and imported files, including PDF basemaps. Compass readings support direction display.
Google sign-in provides account identifiers and basic profile information, such as your name and email address. Authentication tokens allow authorized connections to Google services. The app does not ask for or store your Google password.
Location and background recording
Location permission supports live positioning and navigation. When you start track recording and grant the required permissions, location collection can continue while the app is minimized or the screen is off. Android displays a recording notification. Stop recording in the app when finished. You can change location and camera permissions in your device settings; denying them limits the related features.
Device storage and Google Drive
Project information is saved on your phone. When you connect Google Drive backup, changed projects can be uploaded automatically while the app is active and connected. Backups include project layers, saved tracks, point photos and imported PDF basemaps.
The app requests Google's drive.file permission to create and manage its backup files, rather than general access to every file in your Drive. Backups are stored in your connected Google account and organized by project. Signing out stops that account's backup connection but does not delete local projects or existing Drive backups.
Group projects and sharing
Group workspace services use Supabase to store account, membership, role and shared project information. Projects and included basemaps uploaded to a group are accessible to authorized members of that group. Group administrators manage membership and roles. Exporting or sharing files through another app sends the selected information to the destination you choose. Recipients may retain their own copies.
Online services
Google provides sign-in and Drive storage; Supabase supports group workspaces; online basemap providers, including Esri and OpenStreetMap tile services, receive requests for the areas displayed. Online services receive connection information such as your IP address and data needed to fulfill requests. Their own privacy policies also apply. Downloaded or imported local data may be used without internet, but cloud features require a connection.
Retention and deletion
Local projects remain until deleted or app storage is cleared. Deleting a local project does not remove earlier Drive backup versions: manage those separately in Google Drive. You can revoke the app's Google access in your Google Account settings. Revoking access does not itself delete existing backup files.
For removal of group-held project information, contact your group administrator. For account or personal-data deletion assistance, email sammicdeb@gmail.com with the account email and the information you want removed. Do not send passwords or authentication tokens. Copies already exported or retained by other members need to be addressed with those recipients.
Your choices
You control the projects you create, files you import, sharing destinations and device permissions. Only upload project information and photos that you are entitled to collect and share. Contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information associated with the service.
